Know this all of you before attempting Thor's Quest
Strength and endurance count for naught, for the way thru the forests of Asgard is well maintained by the Norns. The path you seek is smooth and shady. The length of the quest is also short, thus suitable for the small adventurers, but only the nimble of thought and keen of eye will succeed, for the hand of Loki is present in the clues.
Know ye also that the forest of Asgard is thick and thus has magical qualities. It may well play tricks on your sky searching amulet!
The Rune above leads only to a quiet haven. Here you may safely leave your vessel. Now journey toward the land of the Frost Giants to Bifrost and seek Heimdall's Post. The Rune for Bifrost is 32° 41.180' N, 097° 22.511' W. Here you will find graven on a strip of yellow metal (which now has turned green with age) another Rune of Location.
You seek now Yggdrasil. The way, at first, is a well prepared path. But after traveling a while, you will diverge along untrammeled and pleasant forest trails and thru glens to a smaller, secluded glen. The center of this glen is where Yggdrasil dwells. In Yggdrasl's very heart is placed a small box which contains yet another Clue.
Take solace, for from Yggdrasil's trefold base, your journey's end is only an arrow's flight toward the setting sun. But Beware, the sages advise that "a straight line is not always the shortest distance between two points" At the end of this leg of your quest you seek a Cairn of unworked stone.
Arriving at the Cairn, you will be within a mere stone's throw of your goal. For the Cairn conceals the final clue, graven upon the antler of a deer. Be on guard, for nearby the Cairn is an uncovered opening to the underworld,
Further, you must study the land carefully, for irksome plants guard the direct approach, much like a dragon defends its lair. A clever seeker may well find an indirect approach, and, if successful, there concealed is a device to extend ones reach to the prize.
Among other treasures, the cache contains seven hand wrought and individually numbered Talismans. One each for the first seven bands that complete Thor's Quest and join the small circle of Aesir companions.
