Geocache Description:

Quick Southern Drive-By

Northumberland

Intro

In 1977 Mrs. Calumpher emigrated from Morpeth, England, with her family, to South Australia, spending her youth growing up around this vicinity.  Her folks still live in the area and are always there for a cuppa; although to understand them it helps to understand Geordie.

Cache Location

The cache, a 35mm film container, is an easy drive-by, close (200m) to an entry/exit from the Southern Express Way. The container is quite appropriate, as Mrs. Calumpher’s Dad has enjoyed a life-long hobby with photography, as well as photography being a part of his employment.  Cameras have always been a big part of Mrs. Calumphers’s life too.

The cache contains a log, small pen, and small trinkets to take.  The reserve has always been there, and we have been unable to find out why the trees are planted in rows. Occasionally there are snakes in the area and a lost koala has been known to roam there.

Cheers

The Calumphers

Container upsized on 28/2/16 to a Gravy container - the Geordies love their gravy with Yorkshire Pudding!
