A cave here in Singapore? Well, kind of, but you'll have to climb some rocks to get there! It's a secret place, but not too difficult to get to.
*COORDINATES ARE NOT FINAL* coordinates. *TORCHLIGHT NEEDED* to find cache.
This cache is in between Quarry's End (GC114FY) and I thought I saw a crocodile (GCY5BQ). You can take a walk and do all three or come here via a ten min walk from the MOE adventure camp.
Posted coordinates will point to the northeast entrance of a large clearing in the middle of Bukit Timah. As signal reception is poor in the forest, you will have to navigate to the cache via a little orienteering. Use the field to measure the distance of your average footsteps - see how many average steps it takes for you to walk 91 meters. When ready, enter the trail at the posted coordinates, heading NE, and count your footsteps.
13 metres in, you will see the 1st break in the foilage on your left, leading off somewhere. This is the 1st trail opening. Ignore it and keep going until you see the 4th trail opening on your left about 91 meters walking distance down the path. Enter here and if you cross over a small fallen log and small stream, you've found the right entrance.
Keep climbing the rocks and about 50m in, you will encounter a cave. Cache is hidden in the cave. TORCHLIGHT NEEDED. If you can't find it among the stones, check the clues.
Happy geocaching! And try to practice some CITO, and bring out some rubbish that you find to throw away.
Extra: Climb up over the cave, explore upwards, and look at the cliff walls. You will undertand why this cache is named as such. If you're adventurous try turning right from the cave entrance and you will find yourself back on the main trail at the 3rd opening.
Note that this is a mountain biking trail and there might be racers coming around blind corners. Give way and stay out of danger!
