Greetings twilight rabbit,

I hate to see any cache go, but I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from, nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

CACHE ARCHIVAL IS PERMANENT

Geocaches not maintained by the owner will still be archived even when a throwdown container has been left. Ownership Regarding Throwdowns

Regretfully,

Geocache Description:

This cache replaces the original What's Left #3 and is in a little more interesting place. There is parking off the highway and real close to the cache, so DO NOT PARK ON THE HIGHWAY. Look for the little driveway off to the section of old roadway. This cache is not really accessible from the Katy trail, even though it is very close to the trail. To get to it you would have to follow the highway back east across a fairly narrow bridge--AND THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED !!

LONG before I-70 was built, this was Highway 40, and at this location there was a bridge over the MKT Railroad. What remains at this location is a small section of a rock wall which was at the end of the bridge.
Before the 1960s the entire area below this overlook flooded frequently and the highway was under water from this point all the way to Boonville. This changed when better levies were built and the river was channelized. But even then Mother Nature showed her power with the Flood of '93, and it became a big lake once again.
Like most wild areas in this part of the country, there might be some poison ivy ... so watch for it.
