The Cache is constructed of a portion of PVC piping sealed at one end and with a screw lid on the other. Contained in the cache are Log Books for recording your visit and some bits and pieces for exchange.
I frequently visit this part of the world and have done so since 1967. I simply love this part of South Western Queensland. The people are great and the land, although dry and harsh at times, has a timeless rugged beauty which continues to draw me back at every opportunity.
As it is located about 6 to 7 hours drive West of Brisbane (Queensland’s Capital City) the Wild & Wonderful West cache represents a challenge to all but the serious Geocacher due to its location. The land and intrigue of the West makes it a challenge worth taking. Enjoy the challenge and the location.

To sit by the edge of a dam on dusk and watch a myriad of wildlife drink in the receding light knowing that you are there but in sensing no fear draw near. How I love the sounds of evening and the smell of the land after life giving rain knowing the miracle of life, both fauna and flora, will burst into renewed existence.
