The cache is close to where the Katy Trail crosses Salt Creek about 14 miles west of Columbia. It is also close to Old Highway 40, and is accessible from either the trail or highway. BE SURE TO RE-HIDE THE CACHE because it has gone missing 2 times in the past.
You are looking for a good ol' ammo box. If you arrive by highway, you will find a little gravel road a short distance west of the bridge. Turn into this road and it will lead right to the cache. DO NOT PARK ON THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY. THERE IS GOOD, SAFE PARKING RIGHT AT THE CACHE AND YOU WILL NOT GET RUN OVER THERE !!!! If you are on the Katy Trail, watch for a gravel path at the west end of the bridge and take it off the Katy to the cache site.
