Geocache Description:

Just a little history along the way to help you understand how Center Point started out. Remember to write down the clue inside the cache since you need it to find the final cache. Please leave the clue in the cache. In case the clue is missing, it should be written at the top of the log sheet.

Center Point – started out as Zanzenburg in 1859 and served as the first post office in Kerr county. It was renamed Center Point in 1872. It is reported that the name was chosen because the settlement was halfway between Kerrville and Comfort, as well as halfway between Fredericksburg and Bandera. Population as of 2000 -- 800.

Please be respectful of the area. There is no reason to go onto private property to retrieve this cache.
