Geocache Description:

A nice, short, easy hike through some beautiful South Shore woods.

The Bay Circuit Trail South geocache was originally hidden by Khao Mun Gai on July 20, 2001 and it is one of the oldest surviving geocaches in Massachusetts. Though Khao Mun Gai has moved on, we have decided to adopt the cache so that its legacy may continue.

This cache is hidden along the Bay Circuit Trail in Kingston, accessed through Sampson Park on Elm Street just after the one-lane-bridge. Sampson Park is across the street from Coughlin and Coughlin, a very interesting store in an old mill that is worth a visit by itself.

The Bay Circuit Trail starts somewhere on the South Shore (it may start right at Sampson Park) and makes its way clockwise around Boston through twenty one towns between Route 128 and Interstate 495. Kingston and Duxbury are on the southern end with Newburyport to the North.

It is a short and level hike through beautiful New England forest.

When seeking this cache, please keep an eye out for Lady Slippers which seem to be particularly happy in the Bay Circuit Trail South woods.

The Sampson Park parking area is located at N 41 59.408 W 070 44.118
