Geocache Description:

Visit our city park named for the second president of the Republic of Texas. Although he is usually known as the Father of Texas, Sam Houston was not the first President of the Republic. Sam Houston succeeded David Burnet in 1836, and served as the second and fourth President of the country.

This is a very busy park at times, so please be stealthy. Depending on when you visit, take the time to enjoy your time here. You may even take in a concert during the warmer weather.
