Geocache Description:

Bring your fishing poles when you search for this cache that is located inside a medium-sized storage container. The Susquehanna River is about one mile wide at this point with a moderate current.

At Brunner Island, you’ll find a wetlands area that provides habitat for a variety of species, and excellent fishing in the channel between the plant and the Susquehanna River. The company maintains a hibiscus area, hiking trail and a boat launch area for public use.

Brunner Island is a coal-fired power plant that is a key supplier of electricity for the region.
The plant is in the middle of a major environmental project to install advanced pollution controls called “scrubbers” that will remove nearly all of the sulfur dioxide emissions from the plant’s three generating units.

Feel free to post pictures of any fish caught at this location.

Original contents include bookmark, bracelet, bouncy ball, rubber frog, First to Find pin, toy car, hand warmers, luggage tag and travel bug.
