City Trail - Intercity Traditional Cache
Major Incident: Sadly I think its time to archive this. It has been a cause of some distress to cachers as well as to myself for various reasons. Its a shame really as this particular location and especially the bridge holds some significant historical interest, being that it once carried a railway branch line to the city market place.

City Trail caches have been placed near to some historical or interesting spot in Salisbury. If you have young children keep an eye on them as this cache is quite close to the stream, but it might be an idea to bring some bread which might come in useful for our floating feathered friends, thanks to a cachers log for the suggestion!
The cache is in the Central Car Park, so plenty of parking available.
I called this cache Intercity because at this point there was once a branch railway line that ran over this bridge to the market square and the heart of the city. The line has long gone but I do have a map of Salisbury dated 1901 and its clearly marked on that. The line ended where the library now stands.
The cache is a 35mm film container hidden as close as I could get to the bridge. There is a log and a tiny pencil.
