The cache is a small plastic clip container with a couple of bits, a log book and pen.
Parking is available either at the Leisure Centre, 3 hours max, or alongside the field close to the cache. You could leave your car here to do the other nearby caches. Toilets are also by the playing field.
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDWALK, CACHE CAN BE REACHED FROM THE BOARDWALK.
One minute you are in town and the next it suddenly stops and it becomes countryside!
This area was once not very accessible during the winter due to it flooding, but now a raised boardwalk has been laid making it possible to enjoy this very pleasant river walk. The boardwalk itself was washed away in early 2014 and I had to suspend the cache until it was rebuilt.
Its possible to follow the boardwalk further on along the river and taking a left turn at the end of the walkway to come back along the allotments.
I have rated this as a 2 star of difficulty because of tree cover in the summer months which will make your GPS go funny!
