In The Pines Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

knowschad: I have seen the plans for this park expansion, and the cache will no longer be well-hidden where it was. Time for something new here anyway.

Geocache Description:

Always loved this song. Its simple, but to the point:

This true American folk song dates back to at least the 1780's. The identity of the song's author is unknown, but it has been performed by a number of artists, including Lead Belly, Bill Monroe, Doc Watson, Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, Chet Atkins, Grateful Dead, and Connie Francis. (source: Wikipedia)

What has all of this to do with a geocache? Beats me, but I had to have some sort of theme for the cache!

This is in a South St Paul athletic park and Park & Ride. Sometimes this place is VERY busy, with horseshoe tournies, baseball, and even tennnis, yet sometimes there is nobody there at all.

The cache is hidden in a fur tree of some sort (pine? spruce?, fox? racoon? I dunno... you tell me) just a couple of feet off of a paved trail.

NOTE! Sadly, a number of coins and travel bugs have gone missing from this cache. Because of that, I do NOT recommend that you leave them here. (knowschad, Oct 21, 2011)
