This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no response to my previous note, I assume that the cache is not going to be repaired or replaced, so I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

Cache is near a fish ladder and State regesitered landmark tablet. Cache is NOT on or under the tablet nor on or under the bridge.

This cache is near State Registered Landmark No. 426, a tablet marking the site of the first adobe home in Lake Co., CA. While the adobe home of Charles Stone and Andy Kelsey is long gone, there are still cool things to see here. Walk out on the bridge and look on the north side. You'll see a fish ladder create to help the hitch reach their spawning ground. Cross to the south side of the bridge and when the water levels are low, two acorn grinding holes can be seen on a rock outcropping!

The little town of Kelseyville is a great place to grab lunch or a cold drink. There is a tiny public park one block south of Main Street with a brand new public restroom, a few picnic tables, an old court house, and the old wooden jail.
