The death-like fog of a full moon cast the Ghostwood Plantation in an eerie, skeletal glow. The smothering humidity seemed to pull the breath out of you; as if the plantation yearned for more human life to fulfill its hunger. Ages ago; there was life in this two story structure; but Tom Ghostwood was long dead. His murderous history was spelled in blood on this very property. Shrubby and overgrown grass swayed bitterly in the cold damp wind under the moon; causing the black surface of a small pond to ripple with malice at the base of a sloping, weedy hill. The exterior of the house was not inviting in the least; more to the point, nor was its interior. In the living room of Tom’s slaughterhouse, rusty chains, deadly spikes, an assortment of knives; any weapon imaginable, lay strewn about. The blood of Tom’s many victims staining the property’s age-cracked concrete forever more. The mental picture of the dead and unconscious being drug from his living room floor to his the black pond is projected to all who come near. You may ask why such a horrible place still exists; however much time fought against it, eroding its walls and enclosing the site with dead trees and bushes. The police aren’t fool enough to go near it. Tom Ghostwood was in his right-mind when he chose to hide his massive treasure upon his own property. Men and woman alike have coveted owning such fortune and wealth. But upon the sight of the Ghostwood Plantation; they flee in panic like they saw Tom Ghostwood themselves. The rippling of the black pond filled with the victims of Tom Ghostwood radiates a fear strong enough to ward off the craziest treasure hunters. And even those brave enough to persevere those black waters, flee in terror at the site of the blood-battered concrete foundation of Ghostwood Plantation. And now; as the full moon’s rays worm themselves through the dead trees; there are still yet people who dare seek Tom Ghostwood’s treasure.
Are you one of them?
