Bei diesem ersten Stadtcache von Spittal, braucht man nicht mit dem Taschenrechner durch die Stadt zu rennen. Man kann versuchen, soweit als möglich auch auf das GPS zu verzichten. Nur im Final wird man auf diese technische Unterstützung zurückgreifen müssen.
Stage 1: N: 46° 47.811 O: 13° 30.058
Suche das Haus mit der Nummer „Villacher Straße 1“. Von diesem Haus, mit bewegter Vergangenheit, leitet sich auch der Name der Stadt ab.
Wie viele Jahreszahlen sind auf der Tafel unter der Hausnummer? A
Stage 2: N: 46° 47.845 O: 13° 29.905
Gehe nun in Richtung Zentrum. Auf dem Weg dorthin passierst du den Spittaler Torbogen. Wie viele Männer mit Schwert sind dort zu sehen? B
Stage 3: N: 46° 47.884 O: 13° 29.761
Am wohl schönsten und bekanntesten Gebäude der Stadt sind neben dem Haupteingang mehrere Marmortafeln angebracht. Eine Jahreszahl kommt immer wieder vor. Nimm die Quersumme. (Die gesuchte Zahl ergibt nebeneinander wiederum die Jahreszahl) C

Bei diesem museumsartigen Gasthaus am Neuen Platz, gilt es eine Zahlenreihe zu finden. Bilde die Summe. D

Du stehst vor einem, mit dichtem Laub bewachsenen Haus. Von deinem Standort erkennst du genau um welches Bauwerk es sich handelt. Zähle die Buchstaben. Sollte das Laub zu dicht sein, quere die Straße und hol dir die Info auf dem Schild neben der Eingangstür. E
Stage 6: Nun ist es Zeit für den Taschenrechner. Setz dich in den wunderschönen Park, genieße die Umgebung und ermittle die Endkoordinaten.

To find this first city cache in Spittal/ Drau you do not need to run around with your calculator. You can even try it without your GPS. Only in the end you will need some technical help.

Now walk in the direction of the centre. On the way you will pass the “Spittaler Arch”.
How many men with swords can you see there? B

On the most famous and beautiful building of the town you will find next to the main entrance some marble plates. There is one year date which you will see quite often.
Take the sum of the digits. (The result if you putt the figures next to each other is also the year date) C

On „Neuen Platz“ you will see a pub like a museum and here find a series of numbers and than build the sum. D

Now you are standing in front of a building with lots of leaves on it. It is easy to recognize what kind of building it is. Count the letters! E
Sage 6: Now it`s time for the calculator. Take a seat in the park, enjoy the surroundings and find out the final coordinates.
