In 1971, ABC debuted a TV western about two outlaws who saw the
error of their ways and decided to go straight. Known on wanted
posters everywhere, Jed 'Kid' Curry and Hannibal Heyes took
aliases.
As Thaddeus Jones and Joshua Smith they worked secretly
for the territorial governor. Only trouble was that none of the
rest of the good guys knew about the arrangement so they kept
chasing our brave duo.
Unfortunately, the series suffered a blow when actor Pete
Duel aka Hannibal Heyes aka Joshua Smith committed suicide
right at the height of the show’s popularity.
This location reminded me of the show…can you figure out why?
