As a result of the archiving of the orignal Omma's Cache, we decided to issue a new cache in the area and name it Omma’s New Cache in honor of Omma and our enjoyable times caching together.
Limited parking at the trail head is available off of SE Burley Olalla Road about 0.26 miles east of Highway 16. Don’t block the gate.
The cache is hidden along the main trail at a spot that is a nice and easy 0.53 mile walk from the parking area. Please observe any closed trail signs and stay on the main trail to the cache site. No bushwhacking required or desired. By the way, there is another cache further up the main trail that you may want to look for after searching for this one. The other cache site can offer some great views too weather permitting.
You are looking for a painted plastic jar that once held 205 grams of sunflower kernels. The cache contains various small items from the original cache and a log book. You will need to bring your own pen. Please put back the cache in the same place and re-hide the cache exactly the way you found it.
My reception at the cache site was spotty with my EPEs ranging from 24 to 34 feet so the coordinates may be a bit off. If you get some better coordinates please feel free to include them in your log.
Way to go ruck for being FTF !!
