Bigfoot's Corral Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

63Expert: Forest fires took it's toll on this area. Then flooding washed away this cache. I will see if I can replace it with a new one in the same general area in the spring.

Geocache Description:

Take J-B ranch road south off of highway 188. Follow the main traveled dirt road, which is usually passable by high clearance vehicles. Occasionally the terrain is 4WD passable only, depending upon the amount of rain. March of 07 was easily passable with a light pickup. Cache is in a cookie tin and right next to the road.

This cache is in a black cookie tin. Located in a "wooded" area right off the road. Please obey the signs in the area and park in the provided parking lot. A short easy walk up the road will take you to the area of the cache. The cache originally contained a variety of toys, keychains, lanyards, pens, pencils, pins, a small letter opener, a bunch of lithium 9 volt batteries, several AA batteries, and a few other trinkets.
To discover why this cache is named as such, hike about 200 yards west of the cache and it will become very clear how the cache got it's name.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery in the area. 200 yards east and south of the cache are remnaints of an old Rio Salado village. Several great hikes in this area.
