Geocache Description:

This cache was originally a multicache, sorta. Now it's more of a traditional cache with waypoints. Enjoy!

Green Monster - Hopedale
This cache is part of the Massachusetts Green Monster Series and contains a Green Monster number. This cache no longer involves a puzzle. Final coordinates are given on this page, as is the hidden Green Monster number. Green Monster number is N+03 33.333. Visit all 23 Green Monster caches to qualify for Green Monster - Final #1 cache. See the Green Monster bookmark list for all of the caches in this series.

Cache is not at posted coordinates. Posted coordinates are for a small park on Peace Street celebrating the founder of Hopedale. It was founded as a utopian society. Cachers can visit the park to learn about the man. If you wish to learn more about this interesting man check out this link.

The final is a large ammo box and is hidden at: N 42°08.487 W 71°33.886. Ether Bunny has set up Waypoints to make the hike to the final much easier. After visiting the park, drive to designated Parking, and follow the waypoints to the general area of the final. Waypoint 1 will take you up Salt Box Road. You will pass some old foundations off this historic road just before Waypoint 2. Rest if you wish at Waypoint 4. Cache is located about 100 feet off trail. Total hike from parking on Freedom Street to Final and back is about 1.7 miles. Terrain is occasionally steep.
