Royal Engineers Multi-Cache

This is a small cache, not much room for trade items or TB's. At time of placement it contained a logbook, pencil and sharpener and one trade item, so take this item which the Royal Engineers would have used extensively as FTF.

In August 1971 a cairn was erected by 50 - Field Squadron, Royal Engineers from Maidstone, Kent, England in association with the Chilliwack Valley Historical Society, using stone from the foundations of the original depot in recognition of which this cairn was erected.

From this depot canoes and pack mules carried the Royal Engineers and their supplies to their sub-depots and work near the Canada USA border, as they surveyed the border. 

The above posted co-ordinates will lead you to this cairn, there you will need to find the second and third dates listed on the plaque.

From the last three digits of the third date subtract 217 let this equal DEF

 The final cache is located @ N49 09.ABC and W121 59.DEF
