Zeke’s Memorial Cache
He was one of the greatest outdoors man. It was just yesterday or so it seems…he was so alive
Big game hunting - a Master guide; he hunted Alaska, Idaho and Africa
Fishing - he had his Captain’s license; he fished Alaska, Idaho, Africa, Mexico, and Hawaii
Gold mining – Zeke was mining when he passed on.
Metal detecting – he detected Alaska, Kentucky, Georgia, Mexico,
and England.
Photographing – Alaska…
Journaling – everything he did.
Writing - the cache contains one of his two books. Alaska
Wilderness Hunter, written by Harold (Zeke) W. Schetzle. Zeke’s
cache also contains miscellaneous items from Alaska, the last
frontier.
If you enjoyed getting there, perhaps once you read the book –
autograph it and take it back so another lucky person can enjoy
Zeke’s adventures. Or, perhaps we can watch the books adventure as
it moves from cache to cache – I’d like to go back to the cache in
10 years and see where the book traveled.
Gloria Schetzle
Small note: As required by the USFS for caches
hidden in the Chattahoochee National Forest the cache is
prominantly labeled as a geocache and the label includes the
GC11FZG waypoint number and the owner's e-mail address.
Enjoy!
