The terrain is very tricky. It is generally flat unless it rains and then its a sponge. The cache container is a retired ammo can filled with the little peoples treasures.
This cache is located on private property but I have permission of the owner to place this cache here. ElbaPatch has twisted the arms of the "little" people who live in the surrounding woods in order to gain access to their secret stash. Elba has long been noted for it's "black gold" or muck lands but now it can also be known for its stash of geocoins.
This cache is a geocoin trade cache. It is meant to let everyone have a chance at these geocoins to trade and move on. Although I can't control how many you take I would ask that geocachers please trade fairly. This way everyone gets a chance at it. There is a first to find valuable prize for that lucky someone.
Beware of the local dogs that inhabit the house across from the cache. They do not bite but will bark at you. The neighbors may ask what you are up to but just explain and there won't be a problem. When reaching in the hidden location remember that leprechauns like to play tricks on you.
This cache can be done in the winter months. There is room for parking off the shoulder of the road and I suggest that you use it. Traffic can be quite busy at times. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS CACHE AT NIGHT!!!
ElbaPatch may be spying on those who stop to trade. If he sees you he may come out and chat for a spell. When logging please leave a note of where you are from.
