Geocache Description:

A variation of the "Meet, Greet, and Eat" GeoEvent format:

Saturday, March 31, 2007
from 5:00 PM to Close (around 8:00 PM),
Pavilion #8 of
Philippe Park in Safety Harbor.
Potluck Dinner and
GeoCachers Emergency Management Agency
sponsored Make-It-Take-It GeoCache Distribution.

Top GEMA officials have been planning to hold a distribution geoevent before this year's hurricane season begins. Coordinating that timing with a 24-hour GXing Record Run organized by some out-of-county friends, and schedule it for the weekend of April Fools' Day, and you've got:

~~ Where GXing Fools Rush In! ~~

Come meet, greet, and eat with some enterprising "fools", caught up in this same hobby/obsession of ours, who are rushing into and around Pinellas county, trying for the World's 24-hour GXing Record Run, currently too high for us to keep track, but well over 275 finds in a 24-hour period.

Please bring something to share for dinner -- we'll supply the paper goods and the plastic-ware.

In addition to sharing something eating-wise, we ask you to please come prepared to participate in a camouflaging clinic for containers, bring a couple of small GeoTrinkets for a cache stuffing station to get them ready for placement, and a sorting station based on size (regular or micro) and suitable location (urban or trail). Everyone will get to take one if they make one! We also hope you'll make a couple more which will be suitable for distributing to cachers that may be affected by this coming hurricane season's storms for placement some time after the season passes. Hope you can join us for this, our fourth GEMA collection and distribution meeting.

I'm hoping (begging?) some of you experienced GXers will be willing to take charge of a station: Sorting cache containers?  Camouflaging?  Sorting cache contents?  Cache stuffing?

There will be MANY places where people can make themselves useful, as I know you will.  This will be a WORKing GeoEvent as well as fun for all.  Thanks in advance for any gifts of time and talent you and yours will share!

~~ Have a blessed day. Happy caching. ~~ BD and YK ~~
