Dominion Atlantic Railway No More

This winter friendly cache is located at the end of the former DAR railway line- the end only because the train bridge that crossed the Shubenacadie River, no longer exists. The round trip is approximately 1.6 kms, and can be very wet depending on the time of year.
Pepe and I had never looked at the railway from this angle before, and had to check out it. When we got there, it needed a cache to draw people here- there will be wonderful sunsets to view from this vantage point.
This cache is not accessible by car, although the beginning of the trail may lead one to believe it is. Trust me.....
ALL CACHERS PLEASE NOTE: The shortest route to this cache could cost you your life. If you try to access this cache by crossing one of the tributaries of the Shubenacadie River, you could find yourself facing the incoming tide, as this river is a tidal river. Note also, that this waterway has recorded the highest tides in the world, and when the tide comes in, it comes in fast.
Trailhead coordinates have been provided. Please use them, and cache safely.
