Geocache Description:

A 3 stage Snowflake themed Mystery. Gather info from the first and second stage, do a little math, and proceed to the final to find a 1 gallon clear plastic container. The container starts out with snowflake themed trinkets. Help yourself to a trinket. (total distance about 6.5 miles)

Wilson A. Bentley “Snowflake Bentley” (1865-1931) Jericho, Vermont.

A self educated farmer, who attracted world attention with his pioneering work in the area of photomicrography, most notably his extensive work with snow crystals (commonly known as snowflakes). By adapting a microscope to a bellows camera, and years of trial and error, he became the first person to photograph a single snow crystal in 1885.

He would go on to capture more than 5000 snowflakes during his lifetime, not finding any two alike.

Another Snowflake

I had planned to place a cache with a snowflake theme back in the beginning of January, but when Mwien, put one out in the same area, I had to rethink/eliminate some of the stages. So, here it is, Another Snowflake cache.

Go to the listed coords (N 44* 30.382, W 72* 59.579) and find a Blue sign. Find the year this business was established.

Then go to (N 44* 28.177, W 72* 58.381) and find a historic marker. On the bottom of this green sign is a year. Use this number to get the coords to the final.

N44* 27.0 (Blue sign year-1907)

W72* 58. (Green sign year-1522)

The Final is hidden next to a Maple and Pine tree that have grown together.
