Geocache Description:

On the Summit of Carnedd y Cribau (591M)

Plenty of Route options to get to this one, If you approach from the Dolwyddelan side, it's gonna be a bit of a hike, if you approah from the Glaslyn Valley it's shorter - but steeper!
For what it's worth, to place the cache I walked up from Ffridd in Roman Bridge (Dolwyddelan) at N 53 02.936, W003 55.848 following the O/S marked footpath that goes over to Nant Gwynant. Where the path intersects the Ridge at Bwlch y Rhediaad, I then followed the ridge, fence and county boundary up To Carnedd y Cribau. Some very nice views on the way, LOTS of wind (so be warned, It's quite exposed on the ridge) and a fair bit of Snow today. Really nice walk though.
NOTE: If you use the route I describe above, the path can be very muddy in places (even during the summer), so stout waterproof walking shoes are a must. If the mud puts you off, you can access the cache by following the forestry road which takes you to my other cache nearby (LLunau Diwaenydd)and then walking up onto the ridge behind the lakes. ANOTHER NOTE: This Cache is fairly remote and as such doesn't attract many visits. For this reason it's perhaps not the best place to drop any trackable items - unless it fits with their particular mission)
