Geocache Description:

A journey around some of the Points of Interest in Biloela

The co-ordinates above are NOT the location of the cache.

The co-ordinates above are where you will START your journey. It is a place where ‘Visitors’ previously obtained ‘Information’ about Biloela and the district... However the Information centre has been demolished to make way for a new shopping centre
To assist you to locate the first two POI’s you will have to make the following calculation at the journey START.
With the demise of the information centre, here is a little tip to get you started: A = 7

You will have to answer questions as you progress to each “Point of Interest”.
The questions are not in the order of the POI’s. Some maths is involved, but you will not need a calculator.
POI-1: Biloela’s People’s Promenade. S 24’ 24.0A1 E 150’ 30.A50
If you look along the edge of the footpath, you will see where you can get some answers.
POI-2: “Spirit of the Land”. S 24’ 23.6AA E 150’ 31.04A

POI-3: ”The Boy from Biloela” S 24’ 23.645 E 150’ 31.243
This “Director’s Chair” was erected by Biloela Lions as a tribute to Billie Brown, one of Biloela’s favourite sons.
A good look around may answer one of the questions.
POI-4: Rock Monument. S 24’ 23.384 E 150’ 31.300
The plaque on the Rock tells the story about the monument.

You should now have all the information to locate the cache at;

It is located in the grounds of an icon from Expo88, and is accessible only between 9am and 4pm, 7days a week. Take the time to explore the attractions while you are there.
It is the home to the Callide Dawson Machinery Preservation Club.
