SF3 #02 - The Bird's Nest Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

SuperDave_GPS: Darn. Several finders have mentioned that they found this one on the ground or various other places. Replacing containers is costing me a fortune, so I'll give someone else the opportunity to use this real estate.

Thanks to all who have enjoyed this one.

Geocache Description:

Cog Promo Logo.JPG (24029 bytes)

June 02, 2007 Tiffin Conservation Area (Barrie, Ontario)

You are invited to COG Spring Fling. Bring one of the geocaching wooden nickels with the COG logo that you may find in this cache to the Fling and receive an extra ticket for our door prize draw. Please, one wooden nickel per geocaching team. Last year our door prizes included a new Garmin Etrex GPS and this year Garmin is back as a sponsor.
Check The Spring Fling cache page  for complete information. Come to the Fling!!

COG would like to thank the owner of this cache for helping us with this project by placing this COG Spring Fling promotion cache.

About This Cache:

To actively promote the COG Spring Fling Event to the maximum number of cachers, this cache has been hidden with relative ease of discovery and accessibility in mind.

OC-Transpo city busses stop within a few meters of the cache, and other vehicles can park at "almost-reach-the-cache-without-getting-out-of-the-car" distance at N45 22.748, W75 37.622

The cache container is a small 2-compartment Thermos container - one compartment for the cache contents and the other compartment for the log book (oops... I forgot to put the log book in a small Zip-Lock baggie... haha) :o)

Please approach cache from stated parking coordinates as the other side of the hedges is PRIVATE PROPERTY, and apparently they're keeping a close eye at this location for "trespassers".

For more info on COG, check the Central Ontario Geocachers webpage for more gnarly info.
