From 1933 to 1936 the CCC built improvements at Guernsey State Park, including “The Castle.” The view from the Castle is one of our favorites. This a great place for a barbecue, picnic or hike. The coordinates listed here are for the Castle. Visit the Castle, and count the number of stone stair steps to the top of the structure. Then, find the coordinates for the cache as follows: 1. Add the digit numbers of the numbers of stairs together. Subtract 1. Then subtract that number from the castle’s north coordinates to find the cache north coordinates. 2. Multiply the number of stone stair steps by 7. Add 4. Then subtract that number from the castle’s west coordinates to find the cache west coordinates.
