Geocache Description:

This historical Cache site is located on scenic highway 89, approximately 15 miles west of Valier, 28 miles south east of browning or 45 miles northwest of Choteau Montana. Park at N 48 19.378 W112 32.647


As Lewis traveled back to the Missouri river, he and his party encountered eight Blackfeet warriors. On June 27, 1806, the warriors were caught in an attempt to steal horses and guns. A fight ensued and two Blackfeet Indians were killed. The Two Medicine site marks the spot where the only Indian casualties occurred during the Expedition. Cache contains logbook,pencil,patches and pins, beads, button bracelet, Sacajawea dollar, as well as other lewis and clark memorabilia. Please trade items fitting for this cache.
