BriLaura: I was just thinking I should check on this when the DNF was logged. I checked the area and discovered that the cache is gone. Since there hasn't been very much action with this lately, I've decided to archive it instead of replacing it. It was fun while it lasted.

Geocache Description:

The cache is not hidden at the listed coordinates. The listed coordinates will take you to a trailhead for the Sac and Fox trail, a nice trail for walking along.

My oldest daughter likes passing notes to her friends at school, but she doesn't want the teachers to be able to read them if they find the notes. To solve this problem, she devised a code. It was based on a code in a book she was reading, combined with a game she was playing.

The puzzle caches were what really hooked me on geocaching. Our whole family enjoyed solving the puzzles - then you have to go find it after going through all that work, right? We decided to use my daughter's code to create our own puzzle. The graphic below describes the location of the cache using an adaptation of the code (drawn by her own hand). Have fun with the decoding.

Due to the vegetation growth in the area of the cache, long pants are advised during June, July, and August. This cache has been placed by permission of the Cedar Rapids Parks department.
