Geocache Description:

This Cache is at the end of the Addie Johnson trail in the Humboldt Redwoods State park. It is about a 1.5 mile up the trail and parking for the trail is just past the large information pullout (Rockefeller Redwood Forest/Big Tree Area). There is a small sign at the trailhead that says "Addie Johnson Trail" and is just off the road.

This is a beautiful 1.5mi(+-) walk in the midst of the Humboldt Redwoods. All kinds of little forest dwellers all over and ends up at a long term Forest dweller.

At the end of the Hike you will reach Addie herself, She was "The first white woman to die in the Bull Creek Area" say hey and thank her for this trail by trading some good swag... This is her 1st Geocache.

Addie Johnson and her husband, Tosaldo, arrived around 1872. One day, while searching for a lost sheep, Addie found this site. She told her husband that she would want to be buried there. Not too long after, she died in childbirth. She was 27 years old.
