offline.cacher: The general rule reviewers use to archive a cache is that the cache owner has been notified (through a log entry) by the reviewer and that no response has been forthcoming. This is the case with this cache. As a result it has been archived.

Geocache Description:

In memory of one of Broadway’s best known citizens, J. Frank Hillyard who served as principal of Broadway High School from 1939-1969. Hillyard died April 8, 1977. He expressed his ideals in an address to the students at Broadway High School in 1965:

"One's educational progress cannot be judged by testing his intellectual development alone. If we want to know whether one is truly educated, we should inquire first about his character and second about his manners. Evidence of intellectual performance should come third. Too little stress has been placed upon desirability of sound character and pleasing manners. Industry and intellect are important enough but it is not enough that an engine be powerful and well-fueled. If it is driven the wrong way, it may become an instrument of destruction."

This cache is a dark green round plastic container about 2 inches in diameter and 2 inches deep, attached with a magnet. It contained a logbook, pencil, Jamaica keychain, mini-highlighter, safetybelt snap toy, mini-matchbox car, coins from New Zealand, Jamaica, and Euro. For FTF there is a new US $1 coin.

NOTE: Someone has placed a "letterbox" in a different container nearby that is not part of this geocache.

NOTE 6/28/07: The container was replaced with a new one that hopefully will stay drier. The magnet holding this cache in place is on the lid of the container. When you return the cache, keep the lid side up and it will stick to the place where it belongs. Thanks.
