Pause at the Pillar Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
For easier parking, I suggest driving past this cache and getting it on the return trip. Careful crossing the road. A few feet of mild bushwacking is required. Watch out for muggles in both directions. They like to hang out at this corner.
P.S. The hint is a real spoiler!
What I shall call a pillar is intereting. Looks as if it was part of a gate some time ago. I see a number of these while riding country roads. I am sure some of you know all about them - I would be interested in hearing more.
Although there are so many interestig hiding places in this area, the pillar fascinated me. It is a very solid one. There is some sense of permanence about it. Someone took care in constructing it well, and expected it to be around for a while! Didn't see a good pillar-hide-place, so it is not there! But it is nearby.
I really, really, really wanted to leave a small container here. But it was getting dark, and I could not find a good place to hide it without going past an old fence. Oh yeah, no need to go past the old rusty fence to look in the likely places, cause it ain't there! I went back to the car and chose a film cannister. It is there. It is black. And it should be an easy find. But again, I take no responsibility, well, as little responsibilty as I have to, for the coordinates under trees and bushes!
Enjoy the ride, and don't forget to go to "The End of the Road" while you are here!
