Geocache Description:

Take the Bumble Bee exit or the Bloody Basin exit. The cache is located close to the junction of Crown King Road and Forest Road 89. (CRFR89). You can get close in a car, then a short walk though some rocks. Yes it’s under some rocks. The cache contains the usual treasures. There is also a NFL souvenir cup. You will have to find the cache to find out what team it is. This is a great area to explore. It’s on the way to the small community of Crown King, named after the Crown King Mine. There are also lot of other old mines in the area. One is the DeSoto. You need a 4x4 or quad to get to it. If you look real close you will see the remains of a tram that was used to transport ore down the hill to the railroad. There once was a small community called Middleton below the mine. It had a train turn table and switch station. Parts of the Crown King Road were at one time part of the railroad bed. You can still see where some of the trestles where.
