Geocache Description:

How I learned to stop worrying and love legalized gambling.
Episode 510.

You've made it to Springfield, home of the Simpsons. Well, maybe. At the cache site you will be in Springfield Gorge when finding the cache, but no need to try and jump it with your skateboard.

The cache is dedicated to one of our favourite episodes of the Simpsons. People often ask how we got our cacher name. If you've seen this episode you would know that the Spruce Moose can fly from New York's Idlewild Airport to the Belgian Congo in 17 minutes. Mr Burns builds the plane when he becomes obsessive compulsive. Also in this episode, Bart gets kicked out of Burns' casino so starts his own in his treehouse and Homer helps Lisa make her 'Floreda' costume for the school play, all while Marge develops a rather serious gambling addiction.

This Springfield is a much smaller town, consisting of farms, wineries and horsey properties and the only town facility is the Fire Station, which Shelly helps to look after. The area around Springfield and Mt William has much aboriginal heritage, with flint quarries and rock art in a few hidden away places.

When approching the cache from the north, the road is windy and narrow but you should have no trouble in a 2WD car. There's never much traffic anyway. Either way it's very scenic.
The cache, now an ammo can, should be a very easy find.
