IFollowRoads: Sorry guys, I was recently made aware that MDOT does not want people in this part of the rest area property. So I had to archive this cache. All is not lost, however, as I put out two new caches here for you to find!

Geocache Description:

Every highway rest area needs a geocache. This one is in the John P. Woodford rest area on westbound I-96 at Mile Marker 111, east of Lansing. It's on level ground, but you may have to push through some tall grass if the highway department hasn't mowed recently.

Container is a one-gallon lock-and-lock, wrapped in cammo tape. Although not handicapper accessible, it's an easy walk and should be an easy find.

Please park in a legal parking space in the rest area parking lot before you get out of your car to go find this cache. Don't park along the rest area entrance or exit roads. Please respect the MDOT No Tresspassing signs. You do not need to cross them to get to this cache.

Update 7/07/2011: This rest area is back in business!
