Geocache Description:

This cache has been inspired by the pupils of Longforgan Primary School who have created a new trail around their village as part of their environmental and citizenship work. The children have worked with local farmers, Castle Huntly Prison, local councillor Peter Mulheron and the community in the process of developing this trail, which has taken over 2 years to complete. Pupils have designed signs for the trail and have produced leaflets and display boards explaining the main points of interest on the trail. The trail is 4km long and starts outside the school. Along the route there are many interesting mature trees and hedgegrows, as well as the old woodland by the burn. As Longforgan is a heritage village there are also many historical buildings to admire. It is worth noting that as a result of this work pupils at Longforgan came 1st in the Scottish Executive awards and won £2000 for the school. Well done guys. Stealth may be required for this cache.
