A series placed at Sites of Meaning, markerstones for the Millennium.
The markerstones are placed on the Middleton by Youlgrave parish boundary, this one is also situated on the Roman road which linked two Roman settlements in Derbyshire: BUXTON(AQUAE ARNEMETIAE) and LITTLECHESTER(DERVENTIO) just outside Derby. Littlechester was an important fort and Buxton was important for it's natural hot and cold baths.
The inscription reads:
Hvivs viae cvram cvratores viarvm non svscepervnt
The cache is a small clip top box in a camo bag.
The lane to the cache site is rutted and muddy but passable in 4x4's.
PLEASE DO NOT TRY AND DRIVE THERE IN AN ORDINARY CAR OR YOU MAY END UP DOING A MONGOOSE39UK(STUCK)
