I first found this spot over 40 years ago, when I 'cruised" thru here on a 1975 Honda 400 / 4 Super Sport, and stopped to hike down to Natural Bridges. Was a cool road for a bike ride, but the road I travelled is "long gone". The new road is still a favorite for the "next generation" crotch rockets... So, what does this have to do with cacheing... absolutely nothing !
I love driving the "back roads". Just this week I did some that I've wanted to do for 10, 15, even 20 years, but never had the excuse or reason to... till becoming a "cacher". This portion of the "old Parrott's Ferry Road" is also parking for at least 2/3...4? other nearby caches. Please use the below mentioned parking coordinates to find "this one", as the BLM may plan in the near future to repair the cut fence that the local "yahoos" tore down. It's a very short walk down "the old road" to the cache, and is well worth the few minutes taken to step back in time. There is no parking on the "New" road, so don't try to access the site from up there... you have to find "the old road".
Poison Oak seems to thrive down in this little valley, so stay on the road. Just about every bush you see on the walk down is the nasty stuff. I tried to make sure there was none where I hid it. It's been 3 days since I scouted the site and I don't have any yet, so I guess I did good.
