My favorite geocaching events are cookouts and I enjoying
grilling, so here's another cookout event. I'll provide *some* of
the meat (hotdogs, hamburgers) but the other items are potluck. If
you want chicken, sausage, veggie burgers, etc. feel free to bring
'em and I'll grill 'em.
Erwin Park is a bit of a tussle to get to but
you're geocachers so I know you'll get there ok. There's 17+-
caches to find in the park, fun people to chat with, footballs
and frisbees, and *hopefully* nice weather to enjoy. There are
a couple of playgrounds for the kids too.
If you're interested in camping this is one of the few city parks
in DFW that allows camping. Camping reservations are made at the
McKinney Community Center (2001 S. Central Expressway) -
972.542.0046. Camp fires are allowed in designated fire rings only,
with proof of fire permit.

Hardin Blvd is closed at Wilmeth so if you're coming from 75 stay
on 380 until you get to the light at Lake Forest, make a right
(north), and follow the signs to the park. From the west, make a
left on Lake Forest.
