Geocache Description:

A quick cache and dash situated across from the memorial stone for Walter Smith.

Walter Smith was a local historian who wrote, amongst many articles on local history, a book called Articles on Local History. This book in turn was referenced to by many other historical articles and books. The memorial is across the road from here, great views from the cache site. Please bring your own pen/pencil.

This cache has nothing to do with a former Everton football manager, who by coincidence I met and have his autograph before selfies were the thing to do.
