Little did I know i would have so much time to set up this M&M cache.
Out Cachin with the chcknldy, spikester1 and hnnhdg. I was trying to help the chcknldy reach her goal of 200 caches. But as it turns out, I was not feeling all that well and I had already found Belknap Woods Cache GCJTD3 so hnnhdg and chcknldy headed out for the .25 mile walk to the cache and I stayed back to set up a gas saver......
After setting up 2 caches, reading my gps/palm and deciding what caches to go for next, reading about the event scheduled for Sunday in concord... etc, etc, etc,..
Well it seemed like hours later a car pulled up behind me... A police officer is coming up to the car to tell me my friend is lost in the woods... I looked incredulously at the officer and said she can't be lost... she has a gps.
Well it hit me.... she did not mark the car and she could not call me as my cell had NOOO reception...
I WILL LET THE CHCKNLDY EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED IN HER OWN WORDS:
Quarter of a mile we did go ...
DNF, sad you know 
Back to the car ... OH NO
My car, I did not mark.
Hope I get back before it's dark
Following the yellow trail,
It disappeared! Where did we fail
Over hill, over dale ...
We never again found that trail
Across the brook, in the drink
My socks were wet, I stopped to think
Cell phone signal in & out; MeAndMyDogs @ my car.
No signal there to find where we are
Ah! A signal here.
Called the cops: please save this hatcher
They came to MAMD at my car.
Coords were relayed via the kind dispatcher.
.35 miles to trek ... Will I ever live this down?
No way! MAMD laughed like a clown
Thank You to the Police. Thank You, God, for calm assurance.
This ChcknLdy learned a lesson:
A rule of caching = mark the car before dashing.
How good it is to find the hide.
Better still to return in with my pride
Since Chcknldy DNFd Belknap Woods Cache GCJTD3 This cache will sure to help her find her way to the car the next time she gives that cache a try LOL
