Located in Old Mill Park on the banks of Shawnigan Lake. Well defined trails, playground and swimming - so make a day of it but beware of muggles and their muggle dogs especially in the summer.
The cache is located in part of the original Shawnigan Lake Lumber Company's holdings. The park itself was the mill site of the Shawnigan Lake Lumber Co. from 1881 to 1945. Due to a fire and loss of the mill in the early 1900's, Shawnigan's economy heavily shifted from that of a lumber town to a summer retreat destination.
