A micro cache located in the Fayetteville Square Gardens area.
My main intent for this cache is to get geocachers who are in the area for business, visiting family, or on a geocaching trip, to visit this "jewel" in my hometown. This may be an easy park ‘n grab for some, but please stay awhile and take a stroll. There are some neat restaurants and nice shops nearby.
Some information from the city: “In 1978, The City of Fayetteville decided to utilize the Downtown Square for a public park/plaza area. With that, the Downtown Square Gardens were born. Every year, thousands of residents enjoy the gardens and plants around the historic Old Post Office and around the businesses of downtown. In the fall and winter, this area is home of the Lights of the Ozarks Festival. Fayetteville Convention and Visitors Bureau estimates 200,000 people visit the Downtown Square during the month of December. The Square Gardens is also host of the Farmer's Market every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings. On these days area farmers set up booths to sell plants, flowers, fruit, vegetables, art and more.”
Park anywhere around the Square, but be aware of the time limits-you could get a ticket. There are LOTS of muggles in the area, so please use stealth!
