in our disclaimer.
It's located just outside of the south entrance of the Badlands National Park since physical caches are not allowed within National Parks. The road going south from Wall is a state highway (SD 240) and runs through the park. A fee is not required if traveling from Wall to Hwy 44 via Conata Road. This must be mentioned when stopping at the north gate entrance unless you wish to utilize the park. Stopping anywhere in the park to look or anything else is considered using the park so the fee is required. So, if coming from Wall on Hwy 240, you will enter the park and travel a few miles before reaching the Conata Road sign at the bottom of a basin area. Turn right onto Conata Road and go a mile or so to exit the park. Conata Road is well marked as you get down in the basin area. Coordinates for that turn are N43 50.618, W102 12.027. If coming from Hwy 44 south of the park, the cache will be about 6 miles north before reaching the park's south entrance where the pavement begins. Since the container was muggled, we have a new smaller cache container to try and prevent this happening again. Please be on the lookout for snakes if it's a hot, sunny day as they have occasionally been spotted in the area. This is now a log only cache due to its size. Please hide it the same location and way that you found it. Thanks very much!!
