Park on the side of Cerro Gordo, near the parking lot. Walk East
on Canyon Road, which becomes a dirt road. You will soon come to
the trailhead
on the right side of the road. There is room to park a car here,
but it's posted No Parking.
Watch your step as you climb a steep and rock littered "trail"
to the listed coordinates and use your flashlight to find a
reflector, and the redirector near it.
You need not be afraid to open or operate the box you find. It’s
sole purpose is to guide you to the next location.
When you reach the next spot, you will need to turn off your
flashlight and wait a few minutes for your eyes to become
accustomed to the night. Now you can start to examine the
surrounding landscape while looking for the "signal" from Ruby. The
cache is a few feet below and to the left of the dim red flickering
glow.

Background storyline: The nearby
Luna Oscura night-cache concerns the dangerous Alberts
Squirrels, which is a continuation of
similar caches started by “Darkmoon” in Oklahoma, which
Wildebus enjoyed when she lived there.
In this cache, you will be discovering a stash of advanced
equipment to protect you from the enemy, so you might want to do
this cache before you attempt Luna Oscura which is only about a
half a mile away.
The coordinates listed will take you to the top of a small hill
where you will need to use your flashlight to discover a reflector
nearby. On the ground, near the object the reflector is attached to
is a large box which was designed by the Grand Electrical
Engineering Klutz Society (GEEKS), who are a secret group of agents
that were probably hired by Darkmoon:

Ruby :
is a rare firefly that emits a reddish light only at
night.
Do not disturb Ruby as you find the secret stash located a
few feet below her under some rocks. (She was carefully
placed to be seen only by following these instructions)

items which will make you invisible to the enemy. You should use
these now and for any other night caches you attempt.
