This cache has been archived.

Edisto Patto: This one has gone missing again and I am going to archive it since it seems to be on someone's muggle list.
Thanks to all who looked for it...

Geocache Description:

SPEEDERS BEWARE!!!!!

This cache and the one on the NB side of Hwy 174 are an attempt to help prevent cachers from getting nabbed for speeding by state or local law enforcement while going through the community of Adams Run.

The speed limit up and down Highway 174 from Savannah Highway (Route 17) to the outskirts of Edisto Beach is 55 mph in most areas. The exception being Adams Run where the posted speed limit goes down to 35 mph. Radar traps are frequently set up along this stretch of the highway---sometimes in multiple spots. You can encounter bicyclists, pedestrians and children throughout this area so the reduced speed is warranted. So be warned---Slow down to the posted limit—It’s the Law!!! Enjoy the slow drive through the town especially in the springtime when the azaleas and dogwood are in bloom! Drive carefully all along Highway 174—those big live oaks are not very forgiving if you run into them and there have been a number of fatalities in the last several years on this road.

This cache is a plastic quart sized camoed container. There is a FTF prize of an unactivated “Three Roses--Autumn” Geocoin set. There are 2 coins in this set—both with same number—one has a magnet in it. Very cool set. It’s yours to do with as you please.
