Sunnyside Cache Traditional Cache

A super short hike to a fairly easy hide.
The first cache had a rather short life. I suspect gravity was the reason for it's failure. On this replacement, I have now added a hook inside the hiding spot which the cache now hangs on. Please take care in the removal and replacement of this cache. Though sight is not an option, a careful hand should have no problem.
As of 8-02-08 it would appear the tree holding the cache has fallen over. I will not be able to get to it right away so if you decide to go for this one. The opening in the tree is most likely facing the ground unless the tree has rolled down hill.
These hills have their share of caches however nothing for the novice. This is a motivational cache to get you started up the hill. If you reached this one you've already made an elevation climb of 400 feet. It's only another 700 ft in elevation to Race you to the Top. Perhaps a few cachers will continue on to the higher elevations afterwards. If not, still pat yourself on the pack when you find this one and sign the log.
This is a good one for the kids. I bet they can follow the trail by spotting the frequent blazes. Have them check out the really cool boulder for climbing on, on the way up.
The find is easy if you stay on the trail. Do not bushwack. From the parking location at the end of Sunnyside road, follow the red trail. The coordinates are a little off but if you only stay on the trail, it can be found.
The trick here is that this is muggle rich area in the summer. Use extreme stealth because the hiding spot is in plain sight.
Please take time to rehide this cache. I would hate to have it fall out into veiw for all who pass.
